Virginia & Massachusetts, The Primary Providential Partners of the United States of America

 Virginia & Massachusetts are seeped in the Power of Providence, it is the key foundational theme and bedrock of the United State of America.  Their flags are in harmonious concord like a counterchange or Yin and Yang Symbol.  Virginia is a field of blue with a mostly white central emblem, while Massachusetts is a white field with a mostly blue central emblem.

青頭巾/The Blue Hood by しのせんせい

Shino Sensei provides free and easy to enjoy content for learning Japanese at the intermediate level.  Kanji is a stumbling block, but Shino Sensei is able help is needed.   

In the story about The Blue Hood there is a vexilloid like instrument used by the Zen Buddhist monk, which you may have seen in Inuyaha (of the flirtatious monk: Miroku).  This religious chiming staff protects — called a Shakujou —against evil.  It is staff with ring at the top and several loose rings that jingle when shaken.  Kind of like Gandalf with his staff (but Gandalf's does not jingle).   

In the ancient story/legend of the Blue Hood 青頭巾, we possible see the origin story of Jeffery Dahmer, who in past life may have lived in Japan.   

The stories on Shinosensei's YouTube Page vary wildly from classic folk tales, scary stories, modern takes, jokes, and historical drama.  It is a must do visit for any person who seriously wants to enjoy Japanese.  

The secret to this website is to SLOW down the Japanese speaking speed to level you are comfortable from 25% to 95% normal speed.  After viewing it on slow speed, one can usually watch at regular speed and enjoy the entire story, naturally.

Japanese language classes don't cover all the fun Japanese folktales, so this is must supplement.  It is fun supplement to boot.  The scary stories are especially frightening!  More so than any modern Hollywood movie.  Like any scare story they are best enjoyed at night!  

Likewise its best to learn about Japanese culture through stories than to just ask and research about it,  ね?

はなさかじいさん: Koban, Old Japanese Money

 The Imperial markings for the Koban feudal Japanese currently are not able to be read, but like all money it has markings. This type of money appears in the classic story that expands on why Cherry Blossoms are so important in Japan: はなさかじいさん.  

 

This story is well known to Japanese folk, but others who want to gain a deeper meaning on the power behind the Cherry Blossom this story is for you. Be warned, you may need a box of tissues, you have been warned.  It is a Never Ending Story type of touchstone. 

 This is real life Koban from fedual Japan, notice the marking on the golden currency! 

 

Chestnut Flag - A Branch from さるかに合戦, 旗を持った栗

 The chestnut is holding a type of chestnut flag, which us humans would observe to be a branch.  But rest assured this is considered a vexilloid in chestnut cultural clubs. 

Also note the origin story of the Poo emoji begins here in this Japanese folktale "the Crab and Monkey."  

In this story believe it or not the "Poo Emoji" helps serve justice against those who were wronged, kind of like batman, making him, a kind of avenging 'Scat-man".
