Only two states of the
48 Mainland fall under the antipodal class - Montana and Colorado. The rest of the
48 United Continental are on the opposite side of the India Ocean. Montana and Colorado are on the opposite end of a remote group of French Overseas Territory. The isolated opposite of Colorado and Montana-land like area is a proverbial
French Kodiak Island in the India-Arctic Ocean, sort of. Thus this flag is for the small nibbles of Montana and Colorado underneath France, or rather it is for the parts of France underneath the United States of America.
