Iceland & Norway

Sisters of the North, with a edge of lands in the Americas and New World.  They are similar on the outside but very different in the inside.  But this pair of Elsa and Anna have been separated for ages, leading to a rift in common familiarity in tongue.  However  their mostly long forgotten ancestors were one in the same family, not to long ago. 

 

Portugal & Belarus - Port & Starboard Ends of Eruope

 Like the colors of Port and Starboard, these flags of green and red connect the Eastern and West ends of Europe.  At times they were absorbed by their larger partner, Spain and Russia.  Likewise they both bore witness the Islamic Supremacy during medieval times.  

Today, they are nations of Europe that remind us of her two extremes, from the West to the East.  

 

Gabon & Rwanda, Sisters at the Center of it All

 Parallel bands of blue, green, and yellow, harmonize like Yin and Yang. 

 

 

Namibia & Gambia - The Atlantic Ends of Africa

 From one end of Sub-Saharan African to the other, they are at the bookends of Black Africa, and know here joys, sorrows, and stories. 

 

Tanzania & The Solomon Islands

 Far and Away, lands down under for Africa and the Australias. 

 

Macedonia and Kyrgyzstan

 

Macedonia and Kyrgyzstan are united by banner of red an yellow, honoring our sun.  They are union of Eurasia proper.  Ancient connections formed when they were pulled into the orbits of Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union, but after the fall, they were able to breathe free. 

 

Comoros & The Central African Republic

 A charge of Yin to Yang, as it is to blue to yellow and yellow to blue.  The various songs of Africa fall strong in these distant neighbors.
