Lithuania & Myanmar

 Distant Sisters of Eurasia united by the colors of fall.  

Once upon a time, one was ruled by a Tsar and the other by an Empress.  For nearly a century they were under the thumb of Empires.  But in past lives, they were once Empires in their own right.  But time has a way of changing things.  During the Cold War they were both pulled into the Soviet Orbit.  

And long, long ago when the Sun was in a different part of the Galaxy, Myanmar and Lithuania had their shoes reversed, when they were the leaders of their old forlorn Empires.  

Since the end of the Cold War, they have taken their first steps into a free and mostly brave new world. Their pasts give them perspectives and has deepened their wisdom.  They will forever retain a tattoo of opression from their once, alien, leaders, but now they step in the future as independent equals with England and Russia.

Ebony & Ivory, The Emerald & Ivory Coast United

 Ireland and the Ivory Coast are sisters under same Sun, yet have drastically different heavens of the Atlantic sea shore.

It was fated that their blood lines were destined to cross in the United States, whence any time an Irish and African blood cross.  Africa with all her nations were compacted in the Americas into a single people group.  Consequently, nearly the entire spectrum of African nations were combined into a super-rainbow of culture and heritage.  No doubt, nearly every Antebellum African American has a dash of the Ivory Coast Colour in his or her family line.  Consequently, whence the Irish marry an Antebellum African American, the unknowingly make a double rainbow cross of Orange, White, and Green

Jamaica & Dominica - Big Brother and Little Sister

 The Big Brother gets all the attention, but they are a fraternal flag family as fated by Providence of green, black, and yellow. 

It is a union of the Greater Antilles with the Lesser Antilles.  Shaped by similar stories in history, perhaps, some day there will be a Dominican bobsled team to rival the Jamaican team.

People's drafted by fates to the Americas, many Americans of the United States can trace their heritage to these Afro-Caribbean melting pots before they were unwillingly assigned to others that included the Scots-Irish.  Thus a small echo of Scotland has left an after glow on these two tropic nations built upon dreams of fortune and glory.

 Separated by space, time, oceans, and blood.  Lands so distant yet have a common heart as revealed by time.  Nations so very different yet connected by certain common elements.
