East/West Union Flag
Taking the union symbol of East as West, the numbers for 10 & 1 are united in this flag from Ancient Rome and Ancient China. Can you guess what all the four numbers represent?

West Meets East Flag - The Oriencidental Flag
Here is the 'ORIENCIDENTAL' flag that united the 'Orient' and the 'Occident' with a flag. Yellow represents the Eastern on Orient (as in Oriental), while the Purple represents the Western or Occident, (as in Occidental). Orient and Occident mean East and West respectively, thus we have the terms Oriental and Occidental. But Oriental was a kind way to refer to an Easterner, but rarely have Occidental been referred to Westerners as such. Meaning that people with European roots are Occidentals, but this term never gained much traction.
Just as leaders of the UK and all US presidents were 'Occidental', just as the leaders of China and Japan were all 'Oriental' from a matter of fact perspective. But there are an every hyper minority of people who are both Oriental and Occidental, making them "Oriencidental' that perhaps the most famous persons of this heritage is Tommy Chong (Irish/Chinese) and Brandon Lee (Of the one and only original 'Crow' being of Chinese/Various European). Thus we have the term, Oriencident as union of Orient and Occident. Lastly, Tiger Woods is a part of this team as well.
The key symbols of the flag that make it a perfect mix between the East and West is the number 10. The purple cross is represents the ancient Chinese character for 10, while the yellow 'x' represents the ancient Roman character for 10. However the colours of royalty have been reversed. As yellow was revered in Ancient China, likewise as purple was revered in the Ancient Rome.
In the center a yellow sun peeks through the center reminding us that we are all nations under one sun. The various colors represent the colors that can be found across the many nations that arose in between the ancient centers of civilization of Rome and China.
Just think Hawaii...

West Meets East Symbol
The Symbol for West Meets East uses the ancient symbols for 10 and 1 from the East and the West. It is oriented like a map and oddly makes the shape of a face. If you know the ancient symbols for ten and one, this sigil makes a lot of sense.

Swim Between the Flags
It was not until recently that some savant figured to have flags planted so people would know where to swin! Note the beach tag reads "SWIM BETWEEN FLAGS".
