Found my old application for the Military Medical School, life takes its turns.  And no, I was not accepted here or anywhere else.  Congrats to those who were selected! 

It felt like a knife to the heart, but it heals in its own way.  Can't sugar coat it, failure like this stings, and honestly stings forever. The scar is permanent, token tattoo that no one can see.  You become RONIN.

Only God knows when the scar will be removed.

AIRDAY FLAG - Starship Troopers Traitor of Mars 2017

 The 25th "MARS DAY" anniversary flag has a white field, with two sets of diagonal stripes being pink and blue.  There are navy blue stars surrounding the print written upon it "MARS AIRDAY! 25TH ANNIVERSARY".    The flag filled the screen for shot during computer animated movie Starship Troopers Traitor of Mars (2017). 

 Airday is a holiday in a fictional future, where Mars is terraformed, as only a Martian can appreciate fresh air (since Earthlings take it for granted).  The biting satire is not lost in this sequel, since most Martians polled about the war were brutally honest and did not care about invading bugs, but would rather party and "drink beer."   

If you were a fan of the original 1997 movie, this 20th anniversary film is a treat, and is ready to be watching on the eve of this movies 10th anniversary, in 2027!  It continues the story line of Johnny Rico.  Although dated for its older animation style, it delivers on action and spaceship candy action scenes, that put many modern movies as of 2020 to shame. 

Starship Troopers was one of the first Sci-fi novels to show a mecha-suit, which became very popular with Gundam, based on the 1959 novel by Robert A. Heinlein.

 The sequel is worth of the Starship Trooper mantle, an action movie flick to get the fun juice moving.
