The All America Flag at Fort Mifflin

 

The All America flag a US flag that gives representation to parts of the United States not recognized as an official state.  Instead of having a star in the canton, they are represented by stars on a badge.  However there is a difference with the stars for non-official states.  They are four pointed instead of five pointed.  Only when they become official states do they earn that extra point.

Parts of the United States that don't have a star in the canton include: Washington DC, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Navassa, Midway, Wake Island, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and the other isolated islands in the Deep Pacific.

The first flying of the All America flag occurred at Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Fort Mifflin was where the most intense bombardment of the US revolution occurred.  Although the British won this battle, this standoff gave General Washington precious time to regroup at Valley Forge.

During the US Civil War this base was prison camp for the North and South.  Since 1954, it became a historical museum.  It really is an overlooked moment in US history that has hardly received any attention in history books, PBS, or the History Channel.  Without this temporary 'blockade' at the Delaware River with Fort Mifflin, Pennsylvania and Fort Mercer, New Jersey in the fall of 1777, the Loyalist Army would have been able resupply and assault Continental Army before they were established, which could have led to the capture and defeat of General Washington.

California Republic Japanese Style with a Tanuki 日本をテーマにしたカリフォルニア州旗

The California State flag is one of the most fun and adaptable flags in the US.  Here a Japanese theme has been created.  Instead of the bear a tanuki has been added.  Tanuki are in Japan, and are sometimes called raccoon dogs.  But they are not dogs nor raccoons.  They something of their own kind of species, like fox is neither a dog yet has some cat like traits.  To clarify, Racoon Dogs can not mate with dogs, cats, wolves, or raccoons.

Most people will recognize them from Super Mario Bros 3 as the Tanuki suit that allows Mario to fly, but these creatures do not fly.  However, Japanese legends have that they can shape shift.

Flags of the Genetically Power Hungary Madmen—Once Upon a Time...Life

The idea of genetically altered power hungry tyrants is a classic staple of science fiction.  In the landmark animated series Once Upon a Time...Life, this concept makes an appearance along with flags.  Don't let that simple cartoon format fool you, this show was made with deepest body of knowledge.  It was a highly intelligent and informative.

The flags of the genetically altered power hungry tyrants illustrate flag symmetry.  In this case, circles and triangles are juxtaposed.  Just look above to see it in action.  See if you can use your pre-scientific (or intuitive) mind to predict what the follows text will be...

The flag on the left features a downward black triangle within a circle, but the flag on the right features conjugate ...a circle within an upward triangle.  Although the circles are different colours, the shape of harmony is obvious. 

The initial flag influenced the design of the other. There is something in the mind that has distaste for a direct copy to some extent, which explains why the two discs are of different colours, yellow and orange.   However, both fields are white, and the 'water' flag has two blue stripes while the 'fire' triangle has one solid thick green horizontal stripe.

These flags are used by the two antagonists of the animated series.  The downward triangle is represents the muscle head-jock jerk, while with upward triangle represents the evil-nerdy genus. There are good jocks and evil jocks, just as there are good nerds and evil nerds.  Being a nerd does not vaccinate one from evil, nor does being an athlete make a person inherently an individual deserving of respect and honor.  The temptations of power and ego can easily tempt the scientist and athlete, which can transform sports and academia into a hellish and ugliest form of human expression.
