Flag for Trindade and Martim Vaz: 29 Degrees West by 20 Degrees South


Trindade and Martim Vaz are small isles in the middle of the Atlantic owned by Brazil.  This is the Metric Grid flag for their latitude and longitudes coded to colours.  It includes the colours orange, white, pink, and black.  The tribar of white, orange, and pink indicate a longitude of 029 degrees.  Its Western designation is indicated by the central white pentagon.  The dominant five pointed star that is orange indicates 20 while the lesser white star indicates 0, thus the latitude is 20 degrees.

Metric Flag for Mt. Everest on the Grid at 86 Degrees East by 27 Degrees North


The Metric Grid flag for Mt. Everest uses the black, indigo, orange, yellow, purple, and white.  The Tri-bar portion represents the Longitude while the central star represents Latitude.  Black is coded to 8 and indigo is coded to 6, thus 86 for 86 degrees.  The central yellow pentagon indicates this is the Eastern Hemisphere.  The orange dominant star represents 20 while the lesser star represents 7, thus 27 which is 27 degrees North.  Since the dominant star is pointing up, this is the Northern Hemisphere.




Metric Latitude Longitude Flag for London






London lies mostly at 0 Degrees West and 51 Degrees North, this is the subsequent Metric Longitude Latitude Flag.  It coincidentally reflects the colours of the UK.  The part of London that straddles on the Eastern Hemisphere has the central pentagon coloured yellow.
