Gladiator Theme - Lunar Twilight

The theme of Gladiator 2000 plays well with the musical essence of Lunar Twilight.  As the movie ends, or as the hero surrenders, so to does the passing year end.  But three more nights of 2019 shall re-visit us in 2020.

Lunar Twilight counts the remaining cycle of last year's final Moon.  Officially it is 2020, but upon nightfall for first few nights of January an unofficial return to 2019 returns for a short while.  This is extra time to say goodbye to 2019 and savor the feels of yesteryear.

Each night all the candles on the slanted Lunar Twilight Candlemast are lit.  But when the shortest candle burns out, they are all put out until the next evening, until none are left.  This marks the birth of the final lunar cycle that was started in 2019.

In the concert performance of the closing theme of Gladiator, the lead female soloist can be seen wearing a black dress with tassels, which are vexilloids of certain manner that often add flair to flags, but are not always required.

Ice Dance - Lunar Twilight

As the star fall approaches the early evening, the nights for the first few weeks of January echo back to 2019.  Although it is 2020, the Moon began its current cycle in 2019.  Thus we are able to reflect back in wonder...wonder within a beck step, for the gift that was 2019.

Note that one special member of the chorus is wearing a different colour, a yellowish gown that makes her standout.  Like a flag the difference of the dress acts as a beacon to send a certain message.

Perhaps this is message to garner attention, that one was chosen to sing above the rest, for a while.   Lucky and burdensome it is to be the chosen one, yet the chosen one makes all of the many, a whole.  

We all must play our part as the chorus and every once an a while as the soloist.  Savory your role as soloist, and when as whence you were a part of the chorus.

Lunar Twilight is time of change and reflection of memory.  Hope and dreams from the past act as guidelight to adjust course.

Pennant sticker flags can be seen on the back window of the station wagon.  It is impossible to make out what they represent, but it could be the college out West somewhere?

Upon the Marriage announcement, a decorative symbol can be seen above the names.  It is the same symbol that appears in the video and movie.

Nelly - Lunar Twilight

The Lunar Twilight Candlemast is for all people of any faith or philosophy.  It counts the days down for the last Moon from 2019 to pass.  So, for the first month of 2020, the echo of 2019 asserts its spirit during the night whence the Moon rules the night.

In the video Just a Dream by Nelly, the theme of a dream is taken literally when we see a car floating on a beach with a super sized wedding band rotating in the air.

The wedding ring is like a personal vexilloid that indicates a person is married.  In this case a finger is the virtual flag pole, while the ring is the vexilloid.

Also in the video is sailing ship, possible of schooner.  Like any good ship there are flags on the flag masts.  It is impossible to make out any detail.  One would have to visit the restaurant/bar where this video was filmed at to get any detail out of the flags.  Hopefully they don't decorate.  If you could find a clear and colour close up of the ship please put a link in the comments.

Someone You Loved - Lewis Capaldi Lunar Twilight Themse

Turning the page for the New Year can sometimes happen too fast.  But for the smooth and softer transition to savor the letting go, there is Lunar Twilight.  This Candlemast countdowns the nights when the last Moon of 2019 gives yesteryear slow send off.

The glow of the neon HOTEL in blue in the video Someone You Loved has vexilloid ember.  The glowing sign gives off a kind of message of advertisement like add flags.

Besides the lack of a proper flag, this song captures the firmament of love that has particular kind of gravity.  When certain paths of life cross, the orbit of love can cause of shift of gravity... and the ejection of love from its peaceful orbit.  These disruptions seem chaotic but the path loves gravity calls all unto a new direction.

Love Song to a Ballerina

The first month of the year is time of transition.  Although the solar cycle marks a new swirl around the Sun, the last Moon of 2019 has yet to let the phat lady sung.  The current Moon will give up the last light on January 23, 2020.

In an extreme quantum stretch the wedding band qualifies a vexilloid.  Instead of flying a flag on a pole, the ring is flown on the left hand of the ring finger.

In this case the pianist, is not wearing a ring.  This indicates that he or she is not married.  However the person could be and may not be wearing the ring.  But most of the time, when a person is not wearing a ring on the left ring finger, it is an indicator that this particular territory has not been colonized by another lover.
