Sri Lanka Tamil Flag - The Sri Tamil Flag

Sri Tamil Flag

Here is a hybrid Tamil-Sri Lanka flag.  It is also a flag for Sri Lanka-Tamil mixes who are have a Hindu and Buddhist ancestors.   If you ever see a report about this war, rarely will the press give details of the cultural orientiaions of the two sides.  The majority is a Buddhist India-like people group, while the Tamils are a Hindu-India peoples.  They have different languages and scripts, but both have ancient connections to India.

After 20 years of war, a fierce Warrior Buddhist leader in Sri Lanka decided unleash the full might of the Sri Lanka Buddhist Lions upon the Hindu Tamil Tigers.  Subsequently, the war finally ended 10 years ago, but the scars still run deep on both sides.

No doubt in the near future this isle will be known as paradise.  Tourists will flock here, and the beachfront property will bring abundance and joy to all.  They will look back at this war as a memory of misunderstanding, yet a war of Wisdom.  The challenge of the Hindu-Buddheic tradition will be immortalized on the isle shaped like a tear drop.

On thos flag the Tamil Tiger holds a different kind of sword known as the Aruval which has a billhook end, which is also very common in Southern India. The Tiger is jumping as well as it was in ancient Chola Royal flags.

Mason-Dixon Line Flag at the Atlantic Ocean: Long Beach Island, New Jersey

The Mason-Dixon line flag can be described as the Crossed Cantons Flag.  Because elements of the Confederate and Union cantons unite.  In essence, it represents a line of latitude of 39ยบ 43' second North which is based upon the border between Maryland and Pennsylvania.

If you fully extend this line of latitude, it cuts through New Jersey.  Specifically it touches the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean County, Long Beach Island Township.  On the sub-township leve,l by providence, the community of Loveladies is the host, which luckily is a public beach.  Depending on the minutia of where you wanna draw your line, the northern beach community of Harvey Cedars just barely touches this sacred line of latitude.  Why is Loveladies providential?  Because this flag was consecrated and cast in crucible of love to heal the wounds of the North and South with the light of hope.  No doubt you'll fine lovely ladies just north and south of this cultural border.

Indeed there is something oddly Southern about Jersey, Clint Black was just born just a little north shy of the Mason-Dixon line.

Tygra Tamil Flag - from Thundercats

Tygra was the head warrior of the Thundercats.  His essence was tied to that of the Tiger making him a Tiger-man.  Eventually he had cubs with Cheetara. In the fun Tamil Tygra flag he has taken up for Tamil as the most power warrior.

The Tamil Tiger flag is something of a rebel flag like the flag of the Confederacy.  Although their armies surrendered, their spirit lives on in their people.

Garfield Tamil Tiger Flag

Yeah, Garfield is not a tiger, in fact he is not real, he is imaginary.  Nonetheless Garfield had colours and stripes like a tiger, thus he qualifies for fun Garfield Tamil Tiger flag.

If you didn't know the Tamil flag represents a minority faction in Sri Lanka who tried to break away.  Years of warfare like Palestine pitted Hindus versus Buddhists, mostly.  Over all peace has been established and the Tamils are a distinct Hindu and beautiful minority in Sri Lanka.

Hobbes Tamil Tiger Flag from Calvin & Hobbes

The Hobbes Tamil flag is fun flag to bring awareness to this small community in the Ocean of India, or rather in the Ocean of Mystics.  Here the imaginary tiger Hobbes from Calvin & Hobbes makes a cameo in Sri Lanka. He is meant as friendly gesture.

The regular Tamil flag has an powerful tiger in attack pose, but Hobbes here calms it down a notch.  Even though 33 bullets and two guns are on the flag, somehow Hobbes puts the soul at ease.
Hobbes was a magic Tiger that came to life in the imagination of Calvin, his ever so charming side kick.

You can see the standard version of the Tamil flag with a powerful tiger ready to attack!

Tigger Tamil Flag

Here Tigger gives the Tiger of Tamil a break, so some happy vibes can be made!  If you didn't know the Tamil flag represents Tamils mostly on Sri Lanka.  They recently lost their war for independence.  It will take time for those scars to heal, on both sides.  But in the mean time, here is hoping a grain of joy comes their way.  It was a war that pitted Hindus versus Buddhists, sort of...don't wanna explain, because some people will no doubt take it the wrong way. Bottom line is, some crazy soul in America cares, and hopes the Tamils do well in the future.

Note that Tigger does not have any sharp teeth nor claws.  Although the Tamil flag conveys power with a ring yellow bullets and two guns.  Tigger somehow ameliorates the aggressive tone.

Tony the Tiger Tamil Happiness Flag

The story of war is an ancient song, but from 10,001 years from now, who will remember the sacrifice of the Tamils?  Perhaps in 10,000 lifetimes from now a soul will be born to see that joy of this flag of a lost nation upon the Ocean of Mystics, the Indian Ocean.

Perhaps someday in the future when the wounds of war heal, will the people of Sri Lanka see that love trumps.

Here Tony the Tiger from Kellogg's, brings a warm smile to a rather 2nd Amendment oriented type of flag that has ring of yellow bullets with two rifles.  But notice that Tony the Tiger does not have claws.
