Flag for the ± Symbol

The ± Flag is a tri-bar of orange, green, and red.  Using colour metrics, orange is coded to 2 because it is the second colour of the rainbow; green is coded to 4 becuase it is the 4th colour of the rainbow; and red is coded to 1 because it is the 1st colour of the rainbow.  The yellow ± symbol is yellow because it is the assigned contrast indicator for green.

The ± is like the Yin and Yang symbol from the East.

¼ Flag: The Quarter Flag

Two Bits make a Quarter.  We love to cut things in quarters, like the year and business cycle, day, time, life, sport.  In this case the ¼ Flag is a tribar of red, violet, and orange, because red is coded to one, violet is coded to seven and orange is coded to two.  The order is based upon the colours of the rainbow, red being first so it represents one etc...

This base is based upon ASCII.  When you hold the ALT Key and then press one after another (NOT AT THE SAME TIME) the number 1,7, then 2 and let go of 2 while holding down the ALT Key the  ¼ sign will appear!

½ Flag: The Half-Flag

When you hold the ALT Key and then press 1,7, 1, letting go of the second 1 while still holding the ALT Key, the 1/2 symbol will appear.

The ½ Flag is a tri-bar of red, violet, red with a yellow ½ symbol in the middle.  Red is coded to 1 while violet is coded to 7.  Of the seven primary colours, red is 1st and violet is 7th.  Yellow is the assigned contrast indicator for violet. 

You can make ½ the world happy and ½ the world angry with nearly all important decisions. So in order to make more than ½ happy, here are two songs of two different genres.

Long hand division is the ace of arithmetic.  To do this process you need to add, subtract and multiply, especially with big multi-digit numbers.  But why no division key on the standard keyboard?  Is there a dislike of the super, adventure challenge that makes you think deeply?  Division is very scientific kind of thinking, especially with word problems.  The thing is, to have fun and take your time doing long division, those matheletes who go for speed over joy are missing out.  Unfortunately the educational system sucks to joy out of math to get approval from the others.  You can find joy in math from within, ignore what other people think, take your time and savor the difficulty with a long division challenge!


Orange is coded to 2, green is coded to 4, and blue is coded to 6.  Because blue is the 6th colour of the spectrum, green is 4th and orange is 2nd.  Yeah, I went backwards, which is what division kinda' feels like.  It's like traveling backwards in time, so have fun doing it.

The idea of home has many meanings and many words and many symbols.  One newly created symbol for this mundane yet lovely place that is severely missed with time distance, yet some say it is where the heart is?  Who knows?  In this case the alternate path to home is when you add one hundred and twenty seven to a certain key, at least in the United States.

Also if you live in Apartment 127 or have a street address at 127— your home will have a certain kind of extra home essence to it. 

It's house, pentagon... no it's home plate!

§ Section Symbol Flag

The 21st Alternate Key in the USA code is the double S, or more formally the section symbol that is quite popular in legal documents.  The number 2 is coded to orange and the number 1 is coded to red.  This is based on the order of the rainbow; red is the 1st colour and orange is the second colour.

Sometimes mistaken as a racist SS from the War of Endless Tears, it has several names.  Perhaps the coolest is the Silcrow.  Most people recognize it was the Section Mark or Section Symbol.

So what this means is that blackjack, 21 is also a certain code for a certain kind of black bird—the crow!

♀ Woman Symbol Flag

 The female symbol is coded to the number 12 with the ALT key.   The background is red and orange to represent 1 & 2.  One is red because red is the first colour of the rainbow, and orange is 2 because orange is the second colour.  Yes, I know that there are an infinite number of tones and colours, but in the general scheme of things the basic seven colours are coded to pattern in the raibnow.

An easy way to remember is that there are twelve moons per year, or 12 months.  Usually the moon is associated with the woman as well.  Capeesh?
