数の日本の自衛隊海軍旗 - Japanese Naval Flags for Numbers 0 to 9

Flag being represented by numbers is common property of modern navies.  Famously there is the International Maritime Code, but several nations have their own kinds of flags for numbers.  NATO has them, as does Russia, and so do the Japanese.

Here are the unique flags of Japanese Navies that utilize unique designs for the numbers 0 to 9.

You can still purchase these unique Japanese Number flags with model kits.  Note the Movement flags have been deleted in this image.  The flags are like stickers that fold up on the miniature flag poles.

Japanese π Flag - Using Japanese Signal Flags for 3.14

The Fun Japanese π Flag is based upon the unique maritime signals flags of the Japanese Naval Self Defense Forces.  In this case the flag for 3 is the main component, the flag for 1is the blue diagnoal with white fimbration, and finally the flag for 4 is the circle with four blue dots.

This flag is for fans of Japanese culture and who love math, especially that enchanting number of pi: 3.14.

No Man's Land Flag - Conquering the Furies of Internet

Flags in video games are nothing new.  The story of the Hero's journey is behind the making of this game.  Upon the release, it failed miserably.  However the game developers did not surrender.  Eventually a fix was released called Foundation Update and it featured flags flying. The flags are long rectangular fields with blue, white and red patterns.

The story of No Man's Land is a true story from hyped hero to zero back to a true hero.  The Internet Historian can better explain...

Basically the programmers at Hello Games perilously summoned the Vengeful Furies of the Internet.  However they would eventually overcome.  It was with grit, patience, self-reflection,  that they were able to calm the savage nature of the Internet.  It is the modern tale of the ultimate come back, with grace, the rise of the Phoenix.

Yankee and Zulu - Internatoinal Maritime Flag Concordance

Yankee and Zulu are the last pair of conceptual international flag partners.  They align as tribal people-groups.  Yankees are considered to be a certain group of North Americans, while Zulus are a certain group of people in South Africa.  Both labels refer to fierce warrior groups.

Yankee was originally an negative stereotype for low born American colonists who were acted above their station.  They were the first upwardly mobile class of peoples, the first yuppies so to speak.  In fact people who rise above their class to a well-to-do are known as yuppies.  However people who fall from out of the rat race are known as hippies or beat nicks, a kind of downwardly mobile folk.  But getting back to Yankees, this was originally applies to the freemen of the 13 English colonies.

Later it became a regional pejorative for Americans from the Northern states who supported the outcome of the fair and legal election of 1860 and were charged with putting down the army that attacked a US military base in South Carolina on 4/15.

Currently within the USA, Yankee is associated with people a professional baseball team, the NY Yankees, who go through stages of Winning, Winning, Winning every so often.  But outside of the USA to the dismay of Southerners, all US Citizens are referred to as Yankees.   Perhaps a remedy would is to have Montgomery Alabama host a baseball team called the Rebels.  How does it sound: the Mobile Rebels.  Thus when they play a game against the NY Yankees, we can all watch the Rebs and Yanks swing it out.

Instead of the baseball bat and glove, the Zulu has a spear and shield. In a way the baseball bat is like weapon of offense while the glove is like a weapon of defense.  This analogy works for cricket as well.

Gadsden Purchase Heritage Flag

The Gadsden Purchase Heritage flag is based upon the Gadsden flag.  However, there are a few differences.  Instead of a rattlesnake, there is a black scorpion.  Also the patch of grass has become a rocky outcrop with Mexican prickly pear cactus.  There are four flowers on the cactus that represent the four states connected to the Gadsden Purchase: Arizona, New Mexico, Chihuahua, and Sonora. The two flowers are separated by the rock since they represent two different nations.  The lower flowers with the root stem towards the fly represent Mexico's Sonora and Chihuahua, while the upper flowers towards the hoist represent the US states of Arizona and New Mexico.

The expression Don't Tread on Me is replaced with a Spanish as ¡No Hay Huellas En Me!  which is akin to No Footprints on Me!  This flag commemorates the spirit of the Gadsden flag but with a Latino twist that pays homage to Mexican and American Heritages.  The Mexican heritage is duly noted with the prickly pair cactus that can be found on the official Mexican flag.  Likewise the Spanish text honors Spanish heritage in the region.  On the other hand, the scorpion is reflective of the American rattlesnake of the Gadsden flag, and of course, the colours and overall pattern is like the Gadsden flag.

This flag can be flown over any area of the Gadsden Purchase.  It is also an fun educational flag to help bring this minor fact of US history alive.  The Gadsden Purchase took place in 1853-1854, during the Franklin Pierce Administration.  Perhaps the most famous cities to become 'American' were Yuma and Tucson.  New Mexico was able to get her distinguished Chihuahua Boot Heel in the South West.  Finally Tombstone, Arizona is a part of the Gadsden Purchase legacy, subsequently we now have Tombstone frozen pizza.

Another fun coincidence is that both Mr. Gadsdens were from South Carolina, and the area of the Gadsden Purchase is nearly the same land area of South Carolina.  When you round them out they both equal 30,000 km².

Funny thing is, this purchase was made by a man named James Gadsden from South Carolina, born the year the US Government went on line, with the Constitution of 1788.  Jimbo Gadsden was born May 15, 1788.  Within a fortnight, South Carolina would ratify the Constitution on May 24, 1788.   As fate would have, Jimmy G. was indeed the grandson of Christopher Gadsden, whom the original Gadsden flag was named after, go figure?  Sometimes the Fates often leave little love notes like this, to remind us that higher powers are working.  If you try usin' your rational sphere of your mind, you'll never understand.  Likewise, usin' your emotional side of mind to solve a college level bio-calculus problem with your heart and feelings...just wont work.   As of yet you can not feel your way through calculus problems, just as you can not rationalize divine manifestations.  And the cherry on top, is that General Santa Anna negotiated the purchase, to the dismay of Mexican Government; he almost sold Baja California in the original deal.  Imagine that!?

And speaking of the Fates and Destiny...perhaps the most renowned love letter from Destiny was the simultaneous death of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams on America's Year of Jubilee—July 4, 1826.

November and Mayday - Internatoinal Maritime Flag Concordance

The flag for the Letter N and Emergency match up as conceptual congruent partners, within the naming framework of International Maritime Flag Signals.  Upon close inspection of their names, you should notice that both are named after months.  The letter N is called November, and the Emergency Pennant can be used as a Mayday symbol.  Seems like an odd connection, but this connection of concepts is apparent with all the International Maritime flags.  Previous examples on this blog include: Alpha-Delta, Foxtrot-Tango, Romeo-Juliet, Papa-Uncle, Charlie-Mike, Quebec-India, and Oscar-Victor

Fatefully both the N flag and Mayday flag have checker patterns.  November has blue checkers on a square or rectangular field, while Mayday-Emergency has red checkers on a pennant-triangular field.

Additionally, they are like opposites of the seasons.  November marks the heart of Fall and Mayday is within the heart of Spring.  November is 100% month of Fall, while May is 100% month of Spring, that is assuming you live in the Northern Hemisphere within a temperate climate.

Hotel and Unit - Internatoinal Maritime Flag Concordance

There is Romeo & Juliet, Tango & Foxtrot, Delta & Alpha.  Do you see the pattern with the names of the signal flags?  It like a yin and yang thing.  More done to earth examples would be: salt & pepper, ketchup & mustard, or peas & carrots.  Hotel matches up with Unit, officially.  However, off the record, people often like to use igloo to I.

The letter H has had many names.  Initially in 1913 it was called Have, then Hypo from 1927, then How during WWII, and finally Hotel in 1957. The letter U initially called Unit in 1913, then Uncle during WWII, and finally Uniform in 1957.

Regardless of all the name changes, Hotels are made up of several Units.  Without the each Unit there is no Hotel.

Echo and X-Ray - International Maritime Signal Flag Concordance

The letter X and letter E, are called X-Ray and Echo.  In the modern day, Echo location and X-ray vision are important tools in science and military technologies.  When you take an X-ray picture, you are basically looking at an Echo of high frequency radiation.

The queer thing is that the names for the flags for Echo and X-Ray create a concordance, as a names of the flags pair up like salt n' pepper, Romeo n' Juliet.

Uniform Option - International Maritime Flag Concordance

There are times to be in Uniform and times to take in the Options.

But oddly the names of the International Maritime flags match up in a quirky way.  Uniform is name for U and Option was the name for O.  Option became Oscar in 1957, but it original name in 1913 was Oboe.  Option was the name for O for 30 years from 1927 until 1957.

U was first called Unit in 1913, but changed to Unit in 1927, then changed again to Uniform in 1957.  Maybe they will change U again?

Nonetheless, Uniform matches with Option, as options disturb a uniform process or structure.  Too many options leads can disrupt the power being in Uniform, be dress, attitude, look, or state of mind.

Five Night's at Freddy's Republic - A Fun California Flag

A video game that captures the feels of the 20-teens, or rather a game that enveloped the tweens of the 20-teens.  The big hits of the 20-teens include the Hungry Games and Minecraft.  Just for fun the 20-ohs were Harry Potter's Decade.  But the first generation born after 9/11 would get their first taste of anxiety and fear from a retro-90s look video game based upon a dystopian Chucky Cheese restaurant video game: Five Nights at Freddy's.

In the game you must monitor and keep an eye on frightening semi-sentient deadly animatronic robots gone haywire. So addictive like an interactive scary movie, when the youth of the 20-teens attains formal command of the movie making films, the lauded Five Night's at Freddy's movie will deliver an epic dose of nostalgia sometime in the 2030s.

The lead animatronic is Fazbar Freddy.  Since we have a bear, it makes a wonderful sub in for the California flag.

Also if you like jump scares and pattern puzzles, this is the game for you!

Bravo Love - International Flag Maritime Concordance

The names of the international flags match up in meaning, in a quirky kind of way.  The letter B flag matches with older letter L flag: Bravo and Love.  L is currently called Lima while Bravo used to be called Baker, but was originally called Boy.

Communication vets from WWI, WWII, and the Korean Wars may have referred to L as Love.  Thus there some troops were fighting and killing with Love, literally.  It was not until 1957 that Love lost out to Lima.  Likewise Baker lost out to Bravo in 57'.

When people yell 'BRAVO' they are sending Love, to the performer.  Likewise to perform well you need to be Brave and full of passion or Love.  Bravo and Love are two words connected to each other.

The California Crystal Castle Republic Flag - Atari's 1983 Arcade Classic Meets Makes California History Today

Here we have another fun California flag that is based upon Atari's 1983 arcade classic Crystal Castle.  In this fairy tale like adventure, which has yet to make a Shrek appearance, you use a trackball "TARK-BALL" to move Bentley Bear across the screen to collect crystals.

Basically an evolved version of Pac-Man, instead of dots, crystals are the McGuffin.  Likewise a magic hat give you revenge power on the enemies for a limited time.  However you can jump, and get the centipede like gem eaters if they are in the process of eating the crystals.  The only thing it was missing was animated cut scenes of Bentley Bear fussing with the trees, bees, witches, and giant crystal eating centipedes.

Kilo and Tare - International Maritime Flag Concordance

The International Maritime names for K and T, match up, on another level.  In this case Kilo matches with T's maiden name: Tare.  Currently T is called Tango.  T changed from Tare to Tango in 1957 with a few of the other flags. Nearly all the international marine names changed names except for Mike and X-Ray.  The names for the letter M and X flag have been a constant since 1913.  All the other letters underwent modification at various times.  The first switch up was in 1927, then 1938, then during WWII.  Finally in 1957, during the birth of the space age with Sputnik, the names names of the flag letters have remained.

A peculiar aspect of the names of the international maritime flags is that they align in quirky way, two by two.  More obvious examples are Romeo & Juliet, Tango & Foxtrot, or Alpha & Delta.  In this case Kilo (modern K) matches up with Tare (Initial T).

If you didn't know many weights have a TARE button that resets a weight to zero while something is on it.  For example is you wanted to measure something like a liquid.  First you put the empty container on the scale.   Let's say the container weights 2 Kilos.  If you hit the TARE button it will go to zero, and then you can add the liquid to see how much it weighs.  The TARE button basically subtracts the out the containers weight, so you can get the weight of the substance in the container.

Golf & Sail - International Maritime Flag Concordance

The name of the maritime flags for G and S match up with Sail and Golf.  Anyone can learn to sail or play golf, but these sports are associated with the wealthy.  Two of the most elite social clubs of modern society are the Country Club and Yacht Club.

Most Country Clubs are connected to Golf Courses, while most Yacht Clubs have a private armada of sailing ships. Of course you don't have to sail or play golf to belong to either of these organizations.

Sail is no longer used as the call-name for the S-Flag.  Instead Sierra have become its preferred name.

Whiskey and Beer - International Maritime Flag Concordance

Whiskey and Beer meet up within the framework of the International Flag Concordance.  The similarity should be obvious.  Many a sailor and grunt will known that these two refreshments are key medicines in the preparation and practice of war.

On the other hand, Whiskey is whipper snapper generation.  Originally W was called William since WWI, WWII, and even during the Korean War.  But when the space age began with Sputnik in 1957, W became Whiskey.  Nowadays, the letter B flag is known as Bravo.

Alpha & Delta - International Maritime Flag Concordance

The names of the International Maritime flags can be put in a certain order.  The order is a binary array that is based upon names of the flags.  In this post, the letter A flag is bonded with letter D flag.  Reason being both flags are named after Greek letters.

Other examples are Romeo and Juliet, Tango and Foxtrot, Echo and X-Ray.

Charlie and Mike - International Maritime Flag Concordance

Certain things seem to pair up like sweet & sour, ketchup & mustard, or salt & pepper.  In this case the names of the international maritime flags pair up on a conceptual level.  First of all Charlie and Mike are common first names of men and they are code for soldiers to keep marching on.

Charlie is the coded to the letter C, while Mike is coded to the letter M.  Other flags, previously compared are: T&F, which are dances as the Tango and Foxtrot; and R&J which are Romeo and Juliet.  It seems that there is a natural proclivity for the human mind to think in sweet-pea pairs.

India and Quebec - International Signal Marine Concordance

What in the world is a conceptual congruency?  Basically the international maritime flags pair on goofy kind of conceptual level.  For instance the flags for R and J are called Romeo and Juliet.  The flags F and V are named after ballroom dances.

For the signal flags for the letters I and Q, they are named after large land areas, India and Quebec.  Like many nations they are both deeply connected the English speaking world, yet have maintained their own unique and original identity.

The Good Friday Tri-Cross Easter Flag

One ancient, dreadfully sadistic practice of a slow, humiliating, public execution, has ironically become a symbol of Christian faith.  Most churches embrace this icon, while a few eschew it, demonstrating the perpetual voice of the counter echo.  Nonetheless, it has become the primary device to indicate that a group of souls are aligned in someway to the path of Jesus of Nazareth.  Although many churches claim to hold the one and only singular path, the Path of Nazareth has and will continue to have new paths constructed by new churches and souls yet to be born, it is inevitable.  No doubt, in 2054, the paths of the Eastern Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church will reunite for a new kind of Super Pope.

The flag is reflective of springtime colours, that indicate a revival of life.  This organic rebirth of nature is congruently associated with the resurrection of Jesus.  Is it any wonder that the egg should also become an iconic token of Christ?

Regardless, the flag is composed of the colours of Easter: a soft, cheerful, blossoming of colours, as ordained by workings of Mother Earth and our Heavenly Father.  There is a checker pattern of blocks made up of baby blue, pink, yellow, basket-green, and peachy-orange.  The checker patterns reveals the two lesser crosses, of the other two men executed on Good Friday: the scornful voice who berated his Godhead at deaths door and the sorrowful voice who chose to uplift his Godhead at life's twilight.  Who can imagine the words spoken at this so very pondering and well remembered moment in history?   10,001 Kings, Queens, Presidents, Governors, Mayors, Judges, Doctors, Criminals and Fools have been pulled by our collective consciousness to reflect and ponder the gravity of these public death sentences.

No matter the interpretation, a radiant afterglow of hope is recognized by the inner evolved unscientific eye of the observer.

Happy Easter

Tango & Foxtrot - International Maritime Signal Flag Concordance

.

Anyone who has studied the International Maritime Signal Flags may have noticed that some of the code words for the lettered flags link up in a weird way.  One of the best examples is Foxtrot and Tango.  Both are two types of ballroom dance.

Odd it is, that out of all the ten million things to choose from to represent a letter, two were dances?  Since much of modern American no longer knows how to ballroom dance, rather they just freestyle wiggle, they may not be familiar with these two types of dances.

Although the flags differ in design, as partner ballroom dancing goes, they match up very well.  Also the letter J used to be represented by the Jig. But the Jig died out to Juliet.  Likewise the Jig was a solo dance, the Foxtrot and Tango for the couples.

Oscar & Victor - To the Winners of the International Maritime Flag Concordance

International Maritime Signal flags all have names.  It was discovered that the P, D, C, B, and E are hard to distinguish over the radio and explosions.  Some genieous figured out to give each letter a distinct name instead of B or D.  The letter V was names Victor and the letter O was called Oscar.

Even today, many organization who do not refer to their by codified-clarity names, can lead to confusion.   Under pressure and speed Ps, Bs, and Ds, can sound alike.

Although the design of Victor and Oscar are remarkably different, Victor or and Oscar have a conceptual congruency, since both associated with winning.  And, they are also names for men.

Additionally Oscar's original meaning is associated with God's spear tip and or a great warrior.  And victories make great warriors.

Romeo & Juliet Signal Flag Concordance - A destiny of lovers

Is there fate?  Destiny?  Are we just a swirl of chemicals bouncing on incalculable trajectories?  Nay, we are spirits trapped between the destiny of heavenly bodies and the unpredictable realm of the micro-cosmos.  Somewhere between the predictable path of the planets and irrational quantum realm of probabilities, our lives unfold.  Love, life, sadness, and grief.  Sometimes we can make sense of these ethereal yet tangible objects.  However when the inner chant of the atomic cosmos with its ratios of reality, plucks certain fibers, all those random chances become a song of destiny.  It is at these movements the Heavens become a random state of quanta, and the atom steers its course straight.

Romeo and Juliet are of that that song, the chance of destiny, that rules our lives.  Additionally, on the conceptual level  (more easily understood by the blind) the names of flags of the international maritime standards reflect a certain kind of concordance.  A concordance of labels, rather than design.

Like salt and pepper, cats and dogs, night and day, or the up quark and down quark, the international maritime flags reveal that ever so present  semi-duality of things.  In this case Romeo and Juliet are the first pair of International Maritime flags presented.  Romeo is the name of the letter R flag and Juliet is the name of the letter J flag.

Amazingly, both flags were a part of the first original class of signal flags created for general international use in 1817.   In 1817, Fredreick Marryat of Westminster, London (July 10, 1792-August 8, 1848) created a numerical code for flag signaling.  The flag we know as Juliet-Letter J was coded to the number 2, while Romeo-Letter R was coded to 7.

Why do Romeo and Juliet make a pair?  Is this a property of the collective unconscious?  Their colours and designs of the flag differ, but the idea of Romeo and Juliet match like Yin and Yang.   Or dare one say...Adam and Eve?  A mind that hath never heard, seen, nor read the tale of these two imaginary star crossed lovers would be ignorant to that conceptual concordance, as to feel its deeper truth.  Further, the impact of these two fictionally fated lovers, has had a real and lasting impact on life as we know it...so much more, than the 10,000 stars that have fallen to Earth, commonly known as meteorites.

Finally, those touched by this story and simultaneously touched by ill fated love that lost its way, will know, verily, that Romeo and Juliet make a pair like the Sun and Moon.

Alternative US Flag from 1996's Romeo Juliet film

The 1990s thematic of Romeo & Juliet meets Hollywood, a unique version of the US flag appears.  In this timeless classic the director chose to change the atmosphere of their universe as an alternative dreamlike music video version of Shakespeare's most vaulted love story.   In this world, Juliet can be seen dancing with man dressed in an astronauts suit from the USA.

However, it is not your normal US flag.  Remember that this representation of Romeo & Juliet takes place in an parallel universe, so to speak.  There are 19 stars in the canton and a patch, that is nearly impossible to make out.  It seems to be a statue or lighthouse by the water?  Or maybe a Washington Monument like structure?

Before Titanic, Leo had already played in a role of tragic love, of two star crossed lovers, Romeo & Juliet.

Colorado Radiocarbon Flag - A New Tranny Flag

The Radiocarbon Colorado flag is similar to the official Colorado flag.  However some adjustments are made.  First there is a radioactive warning label over the golden sun and the number 14 appears at the 11:00 position of the letter C.

Radiocarbon dating was an idea set forth from a local son from Colorado, Willard Libby.  Libby of Colorado figured that biological systems stop adding carbon to their systems after they cease to live.  Consequently the amount of Carbon-14 decays with a half life of 5730 years.  This connection of chemistry to biology added another key padding point to the theory of evolution.

In simple terms, a special kind of Carbon Dioxide, known as C-14, inside all living things turns into Nitrogen.   So in a way, C-14 is a Trans-atom.  But not all C-14 transitions at once.  The transition is predictable and about half of the Tranny Carbon-14 atoms will turn into Nitrogen every 5000 years.   Regular Carbon-12 is happy to exist as a Carbon-12 atom indefinitely.

Oh yeah, for the science bit...so when an organism dies, it stops breathing, so no more carbon dioxide is added or released.  So the amount of Tranny Carbon-14 left in its body gives us an estimate of its age.  Therefore, the more Tranny C-14 in a fossil the younger it is.  The less Tranny C-14, the longer ago it died.  There is less Tranny C-14 in ancient older fossils, because most of the C-14 has transitioned into Nitrogen.

Also, when Tranny Carbon-14 starts its new life as a Nitrogendered atom, it spits out an electron known as beta-radiation.  A tiny amount of beta-radiation won't hurt you, but a heavy dose can do major damage. When this happens, one of its Neutrons turns into a proton and it becomes a different element...element #7, Nitrogen.  This is natural alchemy!   If you want to turn lead into gold, you need to purchase a PPNR, personal proton-neutron resequencer, which has not yet been invented.

Flag in Jan Švankmajer's O Jogo Masculino - Thë Cråzy Šoçcer Šhort

Various football club pennants are visible in the bachelor soccer apartment in Jan Švankmajer's seminal 1988 classic O Jogo Masculino. The soccer pennants are often fibrated in gold.  It is difficult to make out the wording and teams.  However, the patterns and colours are distinctly visible.

This video combines original live action with older stock footage about football matches.  In these cut real soccer fans can be seen gathering for a match with flags and the goose horns.  Additionally all sorts of claymation mixed with real footage give this comically silly, and absurd work of art a certain uniqueness.

Oddly this movie short is one of the first cat videos.  During the bathroom break, the television just focuses on cats chillin' in a basket.  Interestingly, a few of the flags of the soccer teams can be seen on the wall on the left side of the window.  So in a weird way this film is a harbinger of things to come, with regards to cat videos.

On the bachelor's hat are several pins of the f.c.'s that he is apparently a fan of.  Although football is key element of this short film, it is an alternative take on football's violence, from an artistic point of view, of a Salvador Dali point of view.  It is quite dreamy and some would consider nightmarish.  But when considering today's violence standards of TV, movies, and video games, this film short is fairly tame.

US Department of Treasury Armorial Banners

There are three possible versions of the US Treasury Armorial Banner.  Reason being, there are three major versions that are known to the public.

The official seal of thr US Treasury has a blue chevron with 13 stars, a key underneath, and balance above.

The armorial banner according to the flag of the US Treasury Department has a chevron of a darker blue colour, the key and scales are now a lighter golden colour, and a blue anchor holding the scales.

Usually the official seal and flag have concordance, but with the US Treasury, there is slight discrepancy.  Also the center star is spaced a little bit more upwards.

Finally the armorial banner of the US Treasury, which everyone has touched.  Many are actually unaware of its significance, but it can be found on any US $1dollar bill.  This seal follows the based design of the official seal, but the colours are different, being all green.  Likewise there are bullets of green all over.

Armorial Banner of the US Commerce Department

The armorial banner is a flag based upon the coat of arms.  Specifically the exact design of the shield.  For the US Department of Commerce, the shield has a divided banner.  On the lower half it has a yellow field with a grey lighthouse upon an rocky base.  The upper half has a blue field with a full rigged sailing ship.

The US Department of Commerce also has heraldic wreath (torse or headband) of grey and black with a bald eagle in the crest position.  You can see the function of the wreath on the knight, as it holds the crest in position.

International shipping was the key to American Commerce and provided the life force for the early colonies of America.  Commerce, like modern day Commericals, drive the modern economy of Western World.  It is no accident during the most prestigious modern day tourneys that commercials dedicated to commerce command the most power sums of money.

Origins of the Walmart Logo - Fartmart

It was recently discovered that the Walmart logo and design was originally based on a silly magic shop similar to Spencer's known as Fartmart®.  The design for the original Fartmart® logo came into being when Fartmart owner, Mai Poole Phingher, noticed that the farrty noise that emerged from the air escaping from a balloon sounded like the passing of intestinal gas.  Fartmart® founder also discovered that the balloon orifice looked like end of a derriere, so they decided to use a six pointed asterisk, which people would understand as the biological mechanism that makes the fart noise possible.  When the original Fartmart went out of business, the trademark icon passed trough many hand and noses before ending up in one of the most consumer friendly shopping centers of the world.

Additionally the motto of Fartmart® inspired Walmart's Save More. Live Better. The template was Smile More. Love Bootietoots.

F.B.I Aromorial Banner - Federal Bureau of Investigations goes Medieval

The design of an armorial is based upon the design of a shield in a coat of arms.  Thus the flag above is the armorial banner of the F.B.I.  In the upper chief position is a yellow area with the scales of justice.  Below in the field are bars of red and white.  Three red and two white.

The flag of the F.B.I. has a shield and typical American design with stars, stripes, and olive branches.  In the compartment area is a ribbon with the logo Fidelity Bravery Integrity.  The F.B.I. represents the most senior law enforcement organization on a mostly national level, that is followed by state troopers, then county police, and at the caboose are local municipal police.

At another local level are school security, who work for school district governments, and finally at the very bottom are parking enforcement and mall cops.  One thing mall cops and the F.B.I. have in common is that they are uniformed police who have the sacred duty to monitor their fellow freedom loving Americans, to ensure they obey the law.

If a law should be broken, they have to power to make an arrest and persecute the criminal behavior of would be evil doers, be it shoplifting or domestic terrorism.  In a way the F.B.I. are mall cops with superhero level powers.  Mall cops can only watch you in the real world within normal human parameters.  However, senior level Mall Cops (the F.B.I) can probe into your personal tech with impunity.

When you apply the heraldic standard of the F.B.I. to the Nth degree, what you get is the image below.  Here our F.B.I. "Federal Police Officer" agent is has an armorial banner and shield.  The green olive branch supports are echoed in the feathered green top.  The 13 stars can found on the shroud of the horse.
