Geographic Flag of Diego Garcia

The Geographic Diego Garcia flag is a tribar of white, purple, and orange- which indicates a Longitude of 72 Degrees East.  The central stars of white and purple indicate a Latitude of 7 Degrees South.

Diego Garcia is the Midway of the Indian Ocean, or rather, Midway is the Diego Garcia of the Pacific Ocean?

The colours are coded to numbers.  And the code is based upon the order of a rainbow.  Orange is 2, since it is the second colour.  Yellow is three, since it is the third colour and so on.

Geographic Flag of Darwin, Australia

Darwin, Australia has the same tribar background as Kurume, Japan.  This is because they reside on the same meridian.  Both cities are a part of the 130th East.  What this means is that the majority of these inhabitants dream, sleep, and wake in unison.  It is especially for Australia whose culture puts great weight on the dream-time.  Likewise for Japan, where dreams are considered magical and special.

Geographic Rio de Janeiro Flag

The Geographic flag for Rio de Janeiro is a tribar of white, green, and yellow.  These colours are coded to zero, green, and yellow- which in turn are coded to numbers: 043.  The number 43 refers to Rio De Janeiro's Longitude at 43 Degrees West.  Likewise the two pointed orange stars refer to the number 22, since Rio's Latitude is 22 Degrees South.

The central white pentagon denotes that this is a Western line of Longitude.  Also the dominant upside down star denotes that this is a Southern Parallel.

The order of the colour to number is based upon the order of appearance in a rainbow.  Orange is 2, because it is the second colour of the rainbow.  Yellow is 3, since it is the third colour of a rainbow.  Green is 4, because it is the fourth colour of the rainbow.  Since there are only seven official colours in a rainbow, the numbers 8, 9, and 0 are coded to black, pink, and white; unless they appear in the pentagon or form the outline of the central stars of Latitude.

The Navassa Island Geographic Flag is a tribar of white, purple, and blue.  The colors are coded to numbers based upon the rainbow.  The central star represents the Latitude of 18 Degrees North.  See the Flag Key below to make sense of the number to color symbolism.

Note this is an apolitical, scientific, objective flag that any nation can fly.  This makes these flags useful in disputed areas.

Geographic Flag for Juneau, Alaska

The Geographic Flag of Juneau, Alaska reveals its Longitude at 134 Degrees West.  This is indicated by the tribar of red, yellow, and green.  With these types of flags, colors are coded to numbers.  In this case 1, 3, 4, equals 134, which is the Longitude that Juneau sits on.  The central white pentagon also signals that this is in the Western Hemisphere.

The two stars tell the Latitude: 58 Degrees North.  Since the dominant star is pointing up, it is a Northern Parallel.  The code of color to number is based upon the order of the rainbow: red = 1, yellow = 3 and green = 4.

Geographic Portland, Oregon Flag

The Geographic Portland, Oregon flag has field of red and orange.  These colors relate to lines of longitude.  In these types of objective and truly scientific flags, colors are coded to numbers.  The order of color to number is based upon the official order of the rainbow.

Red is coded 1, since it is the first color of the rainbow.  Orange is coded to 2, as it is the second color. Usually Geographic flags of this nature are tribars.  However Portland, Oregon lies on the 122th Western Meridian, thus it gets double dose of orange -forming a block.

In the center the two five pointed stars reveal Portland's Longitude, which is 45 Degrees North.  Remember that green is coded to 4, since it the fourth color of the rainbow.  And that blue is coded to 5, since it is the fifth color of the rainbow.  Thus when read the stars show us 45 Degrees North.  As the dominant green star is pointing upwards, this indicates a Northern Parallel.

Note that the white pentagon in the center relates to hemisphere.  Since it is white, we know it is a Western Meridian.  Otherwise a yellow pentagon indicates an Eastern Meridian.  Finally this is a vexillologically "GOOD FLAG" and coincidentally happens to conserve the main colors of the official Portland, Oregon City Flag - green and blue.

Willis Island Flag

Willis Island is one of the few inhabited islands of the Great Barrier Reef.  Note that this reef does indeed have habitable isles that people can live upon.  This Geographic flag reveals this Willis Island's Latitude and Longitude at: 149 Degrees East by 16 Degrees South.

The red, green, pink tribar colours are coded to numbers, based upon the order of the rainbow.  Red is 1, green is 4, and pink is 9; thus 149 Degrees East.  Also the central yellow pentagon indicates that this is in the Eastern Hemisphere.

As for Latitude, the red and indigo stars read as 16 Degrees South.  Since the dominant red star is pointing downwards, we know it is a Southern Parallel.

Cato Island Flag, Australia

The Geographic flag for Cato Island, Australia has a background of red and blue, and the colours are coded to numbers.  In this case they mean 155.  Since five is repeated it forms a larger block.  The star in the center reveals the latitude of 23 Degrees South.

For these types of flag the colours are linked to numbers, based upon the order of the rainbow.  Red is 1; orange is 2, yellow, is 3, and blue is 5.  Thus the field reads as 155 Degrees East by 23 Degrees South. The front star pointing down indicates a Southern Parallel, while the yellow pentagon indicates the Eastern Hemisphere.

Lo'ihi Seamount Flag

The Geographic Lo'ihi Seamount flag uses US patriotic colours of red, white, and blue with dash of black.  The colours are coded to numbers.  And the code is based upon the order a rainbow.  Red being the first colour, so it represents 1.  Blue as the fifth colour, it represents 5.  Also white represents zero, while black represents 8.

Usually these types of flags are tribars, but since 155 Degrees West has two 5s, we have a blue field.

In the center are two five pointed stars, which are coded to latitude.   They represent the number 18, for 18 Degrees North.  The dominant red star represents to tens column, while the background star represents the ones column.  Also the white pentagon indicates that this is the Western Hemisphere.  And finally the upward dominant star indicates that this is a Northern parallel.

Also note this flag can be flown over the southern tip of Hawaii's King Island, since crosses this geographic panel.

Lo'ihi is predicted to appear above the surface at earliest in the Year 9876 or at latest by Year 12,345.  By that time our species will have vanished like the dinosaurs due to cybernetic integration and genetic modifications.  But humans as we are today may be kept alive in 'zoos of the future' or traded like cattle to do menial and undesirable work.

Geographic Salt Lake City Flag

The Geographic Salt Lake City flag has a field of red.  Usually Geographic flags are composed of tribars with each bar coded to color and number.  Since red is the first color of the rainbow it represents the number 1.

Since Salt Lake City sits at 111 Degrees West.  The field is completely red!  The central white pentagon also indicates that this is a western line of longitude.  Otherwise it would be yellow to indicate an eastern line of longitude.

The two stars show us the latitude, which is 40 degrees.  Since green is the 4th colour of the rainbow, the dominant star is green.
